Privacy policy
ConstructionMagazine.ai is published by Mandala Networks LLC, a Florida limited liability company. This policy explains the personal information we collect through this publication, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
- Accounts. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile image, and Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google password.
- Newsletter subscriptions. We store the email address you submit, the source of the subscription, and the time and version of your consent. For the dedicated Field Brief topic, we also store Resend contact, message, and broadcast identifiers; delivery state; opens; clicked link destinations; bounces; complaints; and unsubscribe or suppression signals. We do not store IP addresses or user-agent strings with these newsletter events.
- Contributor applications. If you ask to work with the publication, we store your selected intent, name, work email, optional professional details and profile link, your introduction or pitch, editorial disclosures, and the time and version of your agreements. Authorized staff may add a private review note and status.
- Business relationship data. Our private CRM may contain professional contact details, company affiliations, communication notes, advertising opportunities, and preferences such as do-not-contact or do-not-call instructions. This data is never published as magazine content merely because it is in the CRM.
- Technical data. Our hosting and security systems may process IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and similar server-log data.
How we use information
We use personal information to operate and secure the site, authenticate accounts, deliver requested publication updates, review contributor applications, contact applicants about their application, administer editorial and advertising relationships, respond to inquiries, maintain business records, and comply with law. A contributor application does not create an account, author record, newsletter subscription, or published content. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not make legal or similarly significant decisions about people solely through automated processing.
Cookies and local storage
Authentication uses cookies needed to keep you signed in securely. The site also stores your light or dark theme preference in your browser. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this notice before introducing them.
AI-assisted work
Authorized staff may use AI tools to assist with article drafts, research organization, and image concepts. AI output is subject to human editorial review before publication. Public-reader account profiles and newsletter addresses are not used to train our own general-purpose AI models. Staff should not place confidential or sensitive personal information into AI prompts unless authorized for that specific business purpose.
Service providers
We use Vercel for hosting, private file storage, and AI gateway services; Neon for PostgreSQL database hosting; Google for account authentication; Resend to manage subscribers and deliver the Field Brief; and model providers selected through Vercel AI Gateway for authorized AI-assisted editorial work. Resend reports delivery, open, click, bounce, complaint, unsubscribe, and suppression events so we can manage deliverability and subscriber preferences and understand aggregate engagement. These providers process information to supply services to us under their own terms and privacy commitments.
Retention, security, and your choices
We retain account, subscription, contributor application, CRM, and business records for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, legal obligations, security, and legitimate business records. We keep newsletter event data, such as opens, clicks, and bounces, for 365 days after each event. We use it to manage delivery and preferences and to see overall engagement. We use encrypted connections and role-based access controls, but no internet system can be guaranteed completely secure.
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or stop marketing communications. Some records may be retained when required by law or legitimate recordkeeping needs. To unsubscribe from the Field Brief or update its topic preference, use the public unsubscribe or preferences link in any Field Brief message, or contact us. Contributor applicants may use the contact address below to request correction or deletion of their application information.
Children, transfers, and changes
This business publication is intended for professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We operate in the United States, and information may be processed in the United States. We will revise the effective date when this policy changes materially.
